CV CRETE COAT: Micro-Topping

Concrete-Visions has pioneered the thin-layer application of concrete micro-coatings. Unlike other installers, we NEVER use pre-bagged mixtures. We have developed and supply our own propriety mixture of concrete for the absolute most natural looking finish. Micro-Toppings are perfect to hide damaged, old, or cut apart concrete making a brand new surface that can look like a newly burnished concrete floor. May color and design options are available. Plus, our propriety process allows for installation over existing plywood subfloors to change a wood surface into a concrete surface.

Concrete Micro-Topping Steps: Grind & prep floor, make repairs, seal concrete surface, apply two base coats of concrete and sand smooth, apply final top coat and seal.

CV CRETE COAT: Polished Concrete Overlays

Polished concrete overlays provide a fresh layer of polishable concrete to an existing old or damaged floor where control of aggregates is important. A polished concrete overlay is typically poured at least 5/8” thick. They can include fine sands and natural stones or all sand mixes to produce very even looking surfaces. A polished concrete overlay is similar to a terrazzo floor, but uses only natural blends of cement and aggregates found in concrete mixes instead of mixtures of decorative stone and glass.

Concrete-Visions unique process also allows for installation of polished concrete overlays over existing plywood surfaces to transform a wood floor into a concrete floor.

Polished Concrete Steps: Grind & Shotblast floor, apply sealing layer of epoxy with broadcast sand, apply polished concrete overlay mixture, grind and polish floor, add stain (optional), seal and burnish for a gorgeous shine.

CV CRETE COAT: Terrazzo Floors

CV Crete Coat Terrazzo Floors blend mixture of natural stone, glass chips, and seashells to create fantastic designs and beautiful floors. We provide both old world cement-based as well as the new epoxy-based terrazzo floor systems. Cement-based terrazzo has the advantage of being more natural feeling, fully polished and installable in both inside and outdoors. Epoxy-based terrazzo floors benefit from improved color consistency and stain protection. Terrazzo is typically installed using decorative zinc divider strips to create unique designs. Many aggregate and design options are available.
